Siegenfeld, Alfred Ritter Anthony von.
Das Landeswappen der Steiremark.
Graz, Verlags-Buchhandlung Styria, 1900.*
* Siegenfeld's entry: Tafel 21. 60. - (c.1400) - Wappen Caspars I. von Starhemberg nach dem Drig. in derßelben handßchrift, fol. 48. - Zu S. 208.

Dated c1400, published in Siegenfeld's book in 1900, the arms representing the arms of the family known as the Princes of Starhemberg. The illustration of the heraldic beast appears to have a horse's head, rather than the expected panther, however, with taloned forepaws, the illustration strongly suggests a beast other than a horse.

The original painting in Siegenfield's publication was truncated around the forehead of the heraldic beast's head as shown on the left.
