Opus Insignium Armorumque: based on the position of Lasarini in the Valvasor's armory, the Lasarini family possessed armorial bearings of a knight and countrymen who owned estates in Carniola and who were resident in Carniola.

There is little academic research to date on the family Lasarini/Lazarini, however, legend has it, that they became noble because the members of the family in the 16th century closed the Carniolan border at their own expense, thus preventing the plague to spread into Carniola. They were conveyed the title of barons 1770's. The family originated from Venice. The family still exists today, with ancestors living in Slovenia such as Baroness Kristina Lazarini-Stupica, Evgenija Marjeta Lazarini, Franci Lazarini, Veronika Lazarini-Filo; and Heinrich Lazarini who lives in Austria.
