The coat of arms of the Saurau family indicates arms of the commandery of the German Order of Knights in Ljubljana. (30) One or more members of the family were members of the provincial committee of Carniola. (71) The family also included of counts whose Carniolan demesnes were still in existence at the time of Valvasor. (99) The arms, which are depicted differently in this section of Valvasor's armory represents arms of a noble family of Styria.
